Kairos Sensors is awarded a Phase I SBIR by the NIH, award number 1R43EB032694-01, titled “Perovskite-Graphene Energy Integrating Detector for X-Ray Imaging”. The scope of this award is to develop Kairos’ novel high sensitivity mammography imaging detector with the goal of reducing false positives and negatives for breast cancer screening. The project is currently underway, and the first detectors are scheduled to be built and fully operational by January 2022. Updates and news to follow shortly as this exciting project validates its critical requirement hypotheses, that will ultimately lead to our minimum viable product by mid-2022.
